Visiting the House of Mourning
The preacher said, “it is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.”
That’s taken from the book of Ecclesiastes (7:2). If you’re a human being, you’ve been around your share of losing loved ones or someone you cherished and admired.
It is never fun, even if they are 100 years old, there is just one more moment you desire to be around them to hear what they were going to say, offer, or edify you with next.
In the same day of feasting, I was given the news of mourning, and I left the feast to mourn. I laid it to heart!
His death wasn’t for him. It was for me and you, his family, and all his friends to consider, what’s next!? Pray for the widow and the family, strengthen and bless. The Creator is.
Once in a while we must visit the house of mourning, even when we’re suppose to be feasting!
